What is Kota Stone
Kotah stone is a fine grained variety of Limestone (Chemical composition is Siliceous Calcium Carbonate), sedimentary origin, quarried in Kota and Jhalawar districts of Rajasthan. Kota and Jhalawar districts have about 100 million tonnes of this type of decorative grade flooring Limestone, better known as Kotastone.

Kota Stone is available in multiple colours. Blue, yellow, greenish-blue and brown colours of this pathar are more popular, other colours are black, pink, grey and beige.

Chemical composition of the Cotta Stone indicates: Calcium Carbonate 38-40%, Magnesium Oxide-4-5%, Silica 24-25%.
